SYNOPSIS: We opened Island Pearl, a boutique hotel blending natural charm with Pierre’s eye for design. From the lush trees incorporated into the architecture to the vibrant dive center, the property became a slice of paradise. While Pierre’s creative vision flourished during construction, his interest waned in the day-to-day operations, leaving me to manage the hotel and dive shop. As our work dynamic shifted, moments of tension surfaced, particularly in Pierre’s public behavior and tendency to dominate conversations.
